TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Proverbs 22:6

Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.

TODAY’S MESSAGE:

Your children will not stay small forever. The day will come when they would grow up, leave home, and create new lives for themselves. Look forward to the next phase of your children’s lives. You may have lost your little girls and boys, but you will never lose your sons and daughters. It is normal to want them to stay small forever, but it is your duty as a mother to prepare them for independence.

But you have an even greater calling than their everyday care and education — you are called to introduce them to Jesus and lead them to accepting Him as their Saviour. Buy a child’s Bible and use it to help but ideas and truths into wording that they will understand.

Do this by sharing your testimony with them, attending church together as a family, and teaching them. Don’t only tech them Bible stories, but teach them how to behave like Christians in their everyday lives.  Teach by example; they are watching you when you interact with others, and your actions speak louder than your words.

Pray for them, but also pray aloud with them.
