Racism: Which Lives Matter?

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Galatians 3:28

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

TODAY’S MESSAGE:

God sees us all the same, and we are all beautiful to Him, since we are His creation.

Racists seem to forget the events that are detailed in the book of Genesis. God created Adam and Eve, the first humans, and we all trace our descent back to them. After the flood, when people tried to build the Tower of Babel to reach up to Heaven, God caused them to speak different languages and scattered them throughout the world.

Those who settled in area closer to the Equator needed protection from the sun in the form of higher levels of melanin, and therefore they have darker skin. Those settling in northern areas had less melanin, giving them lighter skin.

There were fewer people in the world at that time, so there was more inbreeding. This caused certain features to become prevalent in people of certain areas.

So today, what we refer to as a person’s “race” is simply the appearance they inherited from their ancestors.

Galatians 3:28 reads: “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” This can also mean “there is neither black or white.”

The only solution for racism is for each person to get rid of these hateful feelings from their own hearts, and to remember that Jesus answered the question of which lives matter when He died for all of us.
